Northern BI leadership team

Rod Kerr
President/CEO Kerr Group of Companies
Rod has owned and operated the Kerr Group in partnership since 1997. The Kerr Group of Companies span across Canada and the US and include Frontier Technologies and Northern Business Intelligence.
Rod’s leadership approach focuses on empowering employees by investing in training, fostering communication, and providing positive feedback.
Rod believes it’s important to give back to the community both corporately and personally. He represents Canada on the Young Presidents Organization and supports non-profits such as Prescott Group, IWK, the Cancer Society along with several others.

Dwayne Primeau
President
Dwayne is passionate about helping customers apply technology to drive measurable and impactful change in their organizations.
With 20 years in sales, management, and business leadership, originating with Xerox and salesforce.com, Dwayne has spent the last six years leading the expansion of Northern BI’s services across North America.
Outside of work, Dwayne enjoys volunteering for local non-profit organizations, going on outdoor adventures with his family, competitive sailing, cycling and drinking exceptional coffee.

Brian Mackintosh
VP Operations
Brian has been developing his skills in operations management, change management, and leadership over the past 20 years. Brian has worked for a Fortune 500 organization and small business located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
When not busy leading change and helping customers achieve success Brian spends a lot of time coaching (curling), volunteering in youth sport, and working as a referee in Halifax’s box-lacrosse community.

Rebecca Cail
Client Solutions Specialist Team Lead
Rebecca has over 25 years of experience in customer service roles. Rebecca has worked extensively in distribution through many industries, including electronics, and power and transmission products.
Rebecca’s career in telematics started at Northern BI in 2020, as a Client Solutions Specialist. She enjoys interacting with our clients and helping them make the most of their services with Northern BI. Newly appointed as Client Solutions Specialist Team Lead, Rebecca is looking forward to leading the best-in-class team of Client Solutions Specialists.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys travelling, recreational running, baking, and sharing the results of her efforts.

Julie Darnbrough
Marketing Manager
As a marketing and communications professional with a passion for storytelling, Julie oversees Northern BI’s brand awareness and content development strategies.
Her experience is wild and random, ranging from teaching grade one in Abu Dhabi and writing a young adult book to, more recently, producing an award-winning integrated marketing campaign.
In her downtime, Julie enjoys reading, staying active, travelling, and keeping everyone in her life in check. She’s known for throwing a mean axe and never saying no to chocolate.

Alfred Bragg
Sales Manager
Alf is a dedicated sales manager who is committed to developing strong relationships between the sales team and our clients. He’s enthusiastic about supporting his team and facilitating their success while delivering high-value solutions to organizations.
Alf brings more than two decades of sales and management experience to Northern BI. He has successfully managed high-performance sales teams within the telecommunication and the education sectors.
When not at work, Alf spends his free time adventuring with his wife and three kids, taking in all forms of outdoor fun. He loves skiing, biking, running, hiking, working out and playing guitar around a bonfire with great friends.
Business Development Managers
Our Business Development Managers are focused on building client relationships and promoting Northern BI’s telematics product offerings across Canada and the United States. From coast to coast, our BDMs are boots on the ground and present Northern BI with expertise and professionalism.

Chris Hudson
Business Dev. Manager: Western Region
Chris Hudson has over 10 years of business development experience with a focus in telecommunications, telematics, and the energy sector. He spent the first half of his career providing enterprise grade data and network solutions for clients in North America and has held several roles within this vertical. Before joining Northern BI, he led sales activity for Canada’s largest green energy provider as Director, Regional Sales.
In 2017, Chris joined Northern BI and is responsible for business development in the Western region. Outside of work, Chris is a big car enthusiast and has a passion for motorsports. During the summer you’ll often find him on the lake or cruising through the Rocky Mountains in one of his fast cars.
Tanya B.
Business Dev. Manager: US, Ont., NL, PEI
Tanya has over 20 years of business experience, both in global corporations and not-for-profit agencies. Known as an energetic and dynamic leader, she has aided many companies and organizations in developing and executing successful growth strategies. Prior to joining NBI, Tanya held executive positions where she earned numerous leadership excellence awards.
With two business degrees, including an MBA along with an advanced Computer Support Systems diploma, Tanya has a thorough understanding of business operations and the proven ability to provide customized solutions. She utilizes her Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt to analyze process flow and apply the right technology and execute initiatives.

Lucas Bond
Business Dev. Manager: Nova Scotia
With over 15 years of business development experience, Lucas has built his success on meeting and exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. He joined Northern Business Intelligence in 2017 and works daily to cultivate relationships with current and prospective customers to ensure they are investing in a business solution that is right for them.

Claude Bonneau
Business Dev. Manager: Quebec, NB
Claude Bonneau has over 30 years of experience in management, sales, and services in the fleet industry. Claude is based in Gatineau, QC and joined the Northern BI team in October 2020. Claude is responsible for business development, as well as customer service for Quebec, New Brunswick, and the Ottawa region of Ontario. Claude is fully bilingual and has experience working with fleets of all kinds and sizes: ranging from small, family-owned businesses to large corporations, and all three levels of government. He has been a repeat contributor for the trade magazine CAMAUTO.
After work, Claude enjoys travelling, golf, fishing, and has been a passionate woodworker for several years.

The Northern BI team of Client Solutions Specialists are customer service superstars. They’re passionate about providing technical support and training by troubleshooting software and hardware issues. Whenever a customer encounters a problem, our Client Solutions Specialists are their first point of contact and make solving problems their mission.

Northern BI’s Customer Success Managers are committed to delivering industry-leading Geotab product and software training. All of our clients are assigned a designated Customer Success Manager to ensure successful product adoption and fleet implementation.
