We know it’s a little unconventional, but that’s how we roll. When you’re having a problem, we’re not redirecting you to a third-party call centre or launching a pop-up chatbot like the other guys. If you need support, our employees are ready to troubleshoot and problem solve. You can even have them contact you on a regular basis if you need to hear a friendly voice. 

At Northern BI, we know our customers, we know their business goals, and we work hard to ensure their employees are equipped for success. Our story

It all started back in 2005 when our sister company, Frontier Technologies, needed help managing their fleet of 100+ vehicles across Canada. A lot of vehicle repair decisions were going unreported in the field, leading to increased fuel, maintenance, and safety costs. That’s when our parent company, Kerr Group of Companies, discovered Geotab—a Canadian-based company and vehicle telematics industry leader. After experiencing great success, the Kerr Group saw an opportunity to bring the power of Geotab to businesses in Atlantic Canada – and so, Northern Business Intelligence was created. 

For over 15 years, Northern BI has helped customers leverage the power and data of Geotab to increase workforce efficiencies. Our business is rooted in providing superior customer service while producing innovative solutions that enhance our fleet management offerings. As an exclusive Geotab re-seller, we’ve been through the product’s evolution and know it better than anyone else.

Province of New Brunswick

The Province of New Brunswick uses Northern BI’s Geotab GPS fleet tracking system to manage over 2,000 vehicles. Multiple government departments including winter fleet operations, school buses and police vehicles use our innovative technology for route optimization, safety and visibility. 

City of Vancouver

The City of Vancouver needed a better way to manage the complexity of its waste collection fleet. While using their existing dispatch/mapping system, we worked with our integration partners to apply the power of Geotab’s Public Works application to track bin collection and truck deployment.
